Our friendly neighborhood animals

One of the lovely perks of living in the country is the wildlife. You know, the birds, bunnies, and deer... and mice, rats, fire ants, ticks, rattlesnakes, and black widow spiders. I found this friendly little arachnid while the kiddos and I were walking outside today. Nice to know they think our yard is a good place to live (are you catching the sarcasm?). It was living inside a small hole in the ground, probably dug by a mole or something. I promptly went inside for the bug spray and filled the entire hole with it. I suppose if the poison didn't kill it, it probably drowned at least! One would hope.
